The Cisco MDS 9134 Multilayer Fabric Switch (part number DS-C9134-K9) is a high-performance, flexible storage networking solution designed for small to medium-sized storage area networks (SANs) and as an edge switch in larger enterprise environments.
Features:
- 32 auto-sensing Fibre Channel ports supporting 1, 2, and 4 Gbps speeds. 2 additional 10-Gbps ports for high-speed interconnects.
- Base configuration includes 24 active ports, with the option to upgrade to 32 ports in 8-port increments using On-Demand Port Activation Licenses.
- Supports stacking of two switches using 10-Gbps copper CX4 transceivers, enabling up to a 64-port configuration.
- Offers Virtual SANs (VSANs) for traffic isolation and enhanced security. Includes PortChannels for link aggregation, providing increased bandwidth and redundancy.
