The BR‑VDX6740‑24‑R is a 1U rack‑mountable, managed Layer‑3 switch from the Brocade VDX‑6740 family. It’s designed for data‑center / enterprise deployments needing 10 GbE and 40 GbE connectivity, high throughput, and flexible port‑on‑demand expansion. Ports & uplinks: 48 × 10 GbE SFP+ (24 active by default on some versions) + 4 × 40 GbE QSFP+ uplink ports (with breakout support for additional 10 GbE ports) — allowing flexible deployment and scaling.
