It’s a half‑card line‑module designed for the Cisco Catalyst 4900M switch chassis. As a half‑card, it plugs into one of the expansion slots of the 4900M chassis — allowing modular expansion of the switch’s port capacity
Features:
- 8 × 10‑Gigabit Ethernet ports (X2 / 10GBASE‑X).
- Convertible to 16 × 1‑Gigabit ports: by using the optional converter module (TwinGig + appropriate SFP transceivers), each 10 Gb port can be converted into two 1 Gb ports
- Full‑duplex mode, port speeds up to 10 Gbps per port.
- Wire‑speed Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 switching (when installed in a compatible 4900M chassis).
