The Cisco Nexus 56128P is a high-performance, 2RU (rack unit) switch designed for data center applications. It offers 48 fixed 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports and four 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ ports, providing a total bandwidth of 2.56 Tbps. The switch also features two slots for Generic Expansion Modules (GEM), each adding 24 SFP+ ports and two QSFP+ ports, allowing for flexible scalability. The 48 fixed SFP+ ports and 4 QSFP+ ports support both Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE), enabling the consolidation of LAN and SAN traffic over a unified fabric. This design simplifies network infrastructure, increases flexibility, and reduces operational costs.
