The Gigamon SMT-HC3-C05 is a GigaSMART® network processing module designed for the GigaVUE-HC3 visibility appliance. It provides high-performance, hardware-accelerated traffic intelligence functions used for network monitoring, security, and analytics. The module includes five QSFP28 ports that support 100 Gb, 40 Gb, and breakout modes (4×25 Gb or 4×10 Gb). Its purpose is not to switch production traffic, but to process, manipulate, filter, and optimize network packets before delivering them to monitoring and security tools.
